It seems reasonable given the cultural aspirations of the Scottish Government, that it would be sensible to work towards and assist in the means of creating a framework for brokering the cultural link between Government and Communities and to set about this by engaging in comparative project work, in the field, both in the 'City' and in a Rural Area
This page is the engine of cultural development in relation to the degree programme - anything of strategic interest will be posted here as the degree progresses

I am an experienced third sector CEO and an author with an armed forces background. I have twenty years experience working predominantly in areas of regeneration in the west of Scotland. I wanted to draw together my combined backgrounds in order to make some sense of my career. Indeed I wanted to turn a corner and make a positive contribution in the field by developing further but from a professionally recognised platform. In short, I wanted to play my part in shaping the future of Scotland. I had heard that the RSAMD had responded directly to the cultural aspirations of the government's requirement to reflect on the meaning of culture and what potential this might have on society and community development in Scotland. The RSAMD's vision and initiative to launch the postgraduate MA Arts in Social Contexts degree programme could not have come at a better time. If you want a flexible and professional environment in which to undertake a serviceable degree and you want a springboard recognised for judiciously developing your performance in the arts and culture arena and how this can advance society, then the RSAMD's MA ASC can not come more highly recommended.
