Peter Minshall the architect behind the Brokering the Cultural Link presentation at RSAMD is an experienced third sector CEO with an armed forces background. He is a published author and has spent the last twenty years working in areas of regeneration in the West of Scotland. His experience has provided a practical interest in community development. He is one of the first students of the MA Arts in Social Contexts degree programme at the RSAMD and his own talk follows a cultural field partnership between RSAMD, Argyll & Bute Council and Culture & Sport Glasgow.
Dr Richard Holloway Joint Chairman of Creative Scotland will be the guest speaker Gerry Hassan Demos will act as provocateur and Peter Minshall will be joined by two postgraduate MA colleagues Bonnie Johnson-Williams from Sierra Leone who will talk about musical gaps in Scottish education and Lindsay Thorburn from Ayr who will talk about art as a stimulus for education in Scotland - all will give snap-shot overviews of their degree findings. Chris Harvie MSP will close the presentation.

Brokering the Cultural Link
John Wallace OBE Principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, is to host an important and historic morning presentation entitled Brokering the Cultural Link at RSAMD to a closed audience of MSP's, CEO's of Scottish Local Authorities and other stakeholders on Monday 15th September, 2008.
This event crucially heralds the completion of the first RSAMD Arts in Social Contexts Post Graduate Master of Arts Degree Programme. This is in response to the vision of government to merge culture with enterprise. Its purpose is to provide some thought provoking community development ideas to join up education, culture and enterprise.
